Little Giants season for 2024 has taken off

Little Giants 2024 has kicked off in Sofia with the participation of 36 mini-volleyball teams from Sofia and the Sofia region, made of fifth-grade and sixth-grade students who competed for the Cup of Bulstrad.

The volleyball games, organized by Bulstrad, were held during two consecutive days, on 5 and 6 November, in the Triaditsa Sports Hall, where 360 students from Sofia, Berkovitsa, Slivnitsa and the village of Dragichevo lined up on the two sides of the net. The participant teams tested their skills in games marked by sportsmanship and tons of positive emotions. Each team gave their best to win the regional round of games.

The two winning teams for the Sofia zone are: Hristo Smirnenski 2 Primary School from Berkovitsa (on the first day), and Tsar Ivan Asen II 12 Middle School (on the second day), who were presented with vouchers for sporting equipment for the amount of BGN 1,000.

A special guest attended the event, Valentina Likova, Chief Expert Sports and Youth Activities at the Sofia Municipality, who presented a plaquette on behalf of Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev to Tsanko Krastev, Director Marketing and PR at BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP.

Each team received a volleyball ball, in addition to the many surprises in prize raffle prepared for the participants: scooters, badminton and darts sets, etc. A professional presenter maintained the high spirits during the event, entertaining the students and providing live commentary of the action on the volleyball court.
