BULSTRAD is named Insurer of the Year for 2022
For another consecutive year, ZEAD BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP has received the most esteemed distinction in the insurance sector, Insurer of the Year for 2022.
Organizers of the 15th edition of this prestigious award event were: VUZF University for higher education in insurance and finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABI), the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies (BASPSC), Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation, and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers (BAIB).
The award was presented to Mr. Nedyalko Chandarov, Chair of the MB and CEO of ZEAD BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP, by Rosen Zhelyazkov, Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly.
At the conferral of the award, Mr. Chandarov thanked the employees of BULSTRAD, as well as the insurance brokers, agents, exclusive representatives and all partners and clients of the company, and added:
“Many thanks for the bestowed honor and recognition with this award in the most challenging and contested category. Also, special thanks to my colleagues in BULSTRAD who stand by me in our day-to-day work and those who are here with me in the hall.
It is easy to win, but more difficult to repeat the victory and stay at the top.

This year’s edition of the award was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including heads of state institutions and supervisory authorities and representatives of the academic and the business worlds.
This distinction once again consolidates the leadership position of ZEAD BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP and highlights another strong year in which the company, in addition to earning the recognition of the insurance sector, also reached the top rank on the market in terms of premium income. Together, the two companies, Bulstrad VIG and Bulstrad Life VIG, have generated a total premium income of BGN 492.1 million, according to the official data of the insurance market up to 31 Dec. 2022 published by the Financial Supervision Commission.
