Little Giants

The Little Giants national mini volleyball tournament for the Bulstrad Cup is an annual initiative first launched in 2018, whose aim is to engage young volleyball enthusiasts who compete in mixed, girls and boys teams from the fifth and the sixth grade.

In 2018, Little Giants took place in six towns across the country, through regional qualification games held in Burgas, Stara Zagora, Sofia and Razlog. Overall, teams from more than 70 schools, or a total of 640 students, took part in the sport events.

Little Giants is a long-term initiative, promoting healthy and active lifestyle among pre-teens and supporting the development of the volleyball sport. The national mini-volleyball tournament is directed at the development of social skills among students through sports and team activities organized in an engaging and attractive format.

In 2019 the volleyball games will take place in 8 locations during October and November, and we anticipate a total number of over 800 young participants from 100+ schools across Bulgaria. The initiative is made possible by the help and support of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and the local municipalities.
